Murchison Falls National Park
… Just one word; AMAZING! You will be thrilled. Some of the unforgettable scenes of the mighty River Nile are found here. It’s perhaps the largest of all – so rich in fauna; the hippos, bucks, buffaloes, and the monster crocs of the Nile, the vegetation is the savannah, purely untouched river line forest and woodland.
Queen Elizabeth Game Park
This place possesses one of the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in the world. Sure! read my lips … not just for the ‘headlines’, you will surely have a good collection of wildlife in Uganda to see.
This open savannah that stretches out to the rainforests, dotted with dense papyrus swamps and crater lakes is home to an astonishing collection of game; the hippos, the buffalo herds, elephants, and the African lion are some of what you will find here. It’s also got a good collection of primate species.
Lake Mburo Game Park
Missed the zebras? You found them! The eland antelope is common here, the impala, the buffaloes, klipspringers, and more. For the bird lovers out there, this is the place to be.
It has such a wide range; Crested Francolin, Emerald-spotted Wood Dove, Brown Parrot, Barefaced Go-away bird, Rednecked Spur, Black-billed Barbet, Greenwood Hoopoe, Blue-napped Mousebird, Lilac-breasted Roller, African-grey Hornbill, Nubian Woodpecker, Trilling Cisticola, bee-eaters, and the cheeky bronze-tailed starling, this list is long.
Semuliki National Park
Located at the base of the mighty Rwenzori Mountain, this vast grassland is home to a wide range of games… perhaps the bird lovers will find this place irresistible. It’s home to about 400 species of birds and about 300 species of butterflies – this reminds me of a friend who is in love with these creatures (the butterflies). He is doing a collection of pictures – Oh! they are so gorgeous!
